I have always LOVED the Dorito Taco Salad. Mostly because I super love Doritos. Like almost so much that I actually would marry them.
But alas, they are not healthy for you, as we all know. Plus the traditional Dorito Taco Salad includes a dressing (Catalina) which is full of sugar! Blech!
So I decided to create a healthier spin on this ol’ favorite, and I have to tell you….it truly IS better than the original.
Here are all of the salad components….
And the dressing components….
This recipe makes one cup of dressing, but if you like your salads more lightly dressed you could make a bit less.
You can also use a ranch dressing here, but make sure to choose one with little to no added sugar. The salsa brand is obvs your choice as well.
I love this stuff so much, and with the small amount of Doritos it contains in relation to all the other healthy ingredients, it’s really not that bad for you! WOOT!

Brown ground beef, and then add taco seasoning, following the directions on the packet
Meanwhile, prep all salad ingredients and mix together in a large bowl
When meat is done, cool slightly, then add to salad mixture and toss
Mix together dressing ingredients, pour over salad, and toss
