Delicious Low Carb Healthy Tacos Using Jicama Tortillas!

Jicama tortillas are my jam! They are truly what whole food, low-carb, healthy taco dreams are made of!

They are made from jicama, which is a root vegetable with a very mild taste and crisp texture. In tortillas form they lend themselves beautifully to tacos due to their pliability and crispness. And since they don’t have much flavor, they let the taste of your fillings shine through. You can even toss them in a frying pan to brown/warm them before using.

I found them in the produce department at my local grocery store. Here’s the packaging….

As you can see there is negligible carb or calorie content. Bonus!

I made my Salsa Chicken with tomatillo salsa, then topped them with some shredded cabbage tossed with a bit of cilantro dressing.

So dang good.

Look for these in your produce section next time you head to the grocery store!
