This scrumptious blueberry smoothie gets its silky texture from a super healthy secret ingredient!

 

This scrumptious blueberry smoothie is likely to be one of the creamiest, smoothest, most tasty smoothies you’ve ever had!

My six year old said it was the ‘best smoothie EVER’…which means a lot coming from a six year old, amiright??

Little did he know that there was a secret ingredient that made it super velvety and also super nutritious…..

Yes! AVOCADO!!

I had heard of putting avocado in smoothies before, but was really on the fence about it because…well…it’s weird.

But lemme tell you I am officially a convert!

It really did make a big difference in the texture of the smoothie and you could not taste it at all.

I also used my very favorite protein powder in this smoothie, which also added to the deliciousness.

Blueberry Pie Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 3/4 c fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 c unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 scoop Primal Kitchen Vanilla Coconut protein powder (or protein powder of your choice)
  • sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to blender in the order listed and blend until smooth.
