10 Essential Supplements for Women

Supplements can be a great way to….well….‘supplement’ your diet with the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids you need to feel your best.

But who wants to choke down 50 bajillion tablets a day?! Ack!

In this post I will cover what I believe to be the 10 most important supplements to use on a regular basis.

I’ve linked to my favorite brands/potencies here (each supplement name is a link). I do lots of research before I purchase a supplement, and these are the best of the best.

***Please read the disclaimer at the bottom before continuing.

Multi-vitamin and mineral supplement: If you take nothing else, take one of these. Be sure that a wide range of vitamins/minerals are included, and that they all have a high percentage of daily value.

B-100: This supplement contains 100mg of each B vitamin. It is GREAT for stress relief and overall nervous system health.

Vitamin C: C is a great antioxidant and contributes to overall wellness.

Cal-Mag: This supplement contains both Calcium and Magnesium and helps support bone and teeth health.

Potassium: Potassium promotes heart health, blood pressure regulation, and good cholesterol levels. It is also beneficial for muscles.

Omega 3s: This important supplement lowers the risk of heart disease.

Evening Primrose Oil: EPO has been shown to provide a multitude of benefits. It can be an effective pain reliever, help with the symptoms of menopause, support graceful aging, and help prevent heart disease, just to name a few.

Zinc: Zinc can help with depression, as well as stress levels in general. It is also great for immunity support and skin issues.

Lecithin: Lecithin regulates cholesterol by raising HDL levels (this is the ;good’ kind of cholesterol).

GABA: This amino acid has been shown to be very beneficial for reducing anxiety and stress levels.

Try adding some of these into your daily routine. I bet you’ll notice the difference!!

Hey! I’m Julie.

I help busy moms feed their families healthy foods in a lot less time.

I’m the founder of Well Fed Families, a mom of three kids who I had over the span of 21 years (I like doing things slowly sometimes), a lover of food, and an 80’s rock fanatic. I also dig jail shows and anything from the 1940s.

As you can tell from the above I’m a little weird. I‘m also a little funny (okay, sometimes a lot funny).

But one thing’s for sure…..I’ve been doing this healthy eating thing for my family for a loooooong time.

And most importantly? Moms who are feeling overwhelmed by that whole concept are my HEART! I want to help you in any way I can, because I know how hard it can be sometimes.

So take a load off and stay a while. I’m super glad you’re here. <3

Psst…before you go be sure to grab the fantastic freebie below. It’s my little way of saying thanks for checking out Well Fed Families….
